QA Dubuque Graphics Help? S Construction Roshek Promote sustainable awareness

Graphics QA helps build Roshek Dubuque promote sustainable awareness

; overflow: hidden; color: # 999999 “> Roshek Sustainable Education Dashboard

Des Moines, Iowa (Vocus / PRWEB) March 8, 2011

AQ ® Graphics, creator of award-winning solutions for sustainable education, provided a dash of instruction that will displayed in Dubuque, Iowa Roshek newly renovated building to promote sustainable awareness among building occupants and the community.

Roshek building redevelopment is the largest project ever undertaken in the sustainable city of Dubuque. Roshek the historic building, located in downtown Dubuque, was built in two halves of 1929-1931, with the start of rehabilitation in early 2009. The redevelopment has been driven by IBM, the largest of several tenants currently residing in the renovated building. When choosing Dubuque as the new location for its new delivery center world, the IBM decision was influenced by the initiative of the sustainability of the city, which was consistent with its corporate philosophy.

Mike Daniels, senior vice president of IBM Global Technology Services in 2009 stated, “[We discussed] the strength of positive public-private partnership in the city, its business and the talent and skills Iowa and the Midwest have to offer. We continue to invest in the future from IBM and recruit the skilled people it needs to grow our business. The Dubuque Service Delivery Center is a model for creating new opportunities and we look forward to working with the City and State of Iowa to accomplish great things together. “

IBM worked with Dubuque Initiatives, a company developing non-profit dedicated to revitalizing the downtown to find a location. In the following sustainable initiatives, it was decided to rehabilitate the building Roshek rather than building new ones, such as the redevelopment of an existing structure is one of the most durable choice that can be made for a project of this magnitude . The construction of nearly three hundred thousand square feet has been renovated according to the U.S. Green Building Council LEED ® ® (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) green building rating system, requiring about 43 million updates. The building is on track to receive LEED gold status this spring. In the process of certification, quality assurance solution graph, energy efficiency education Dashboard ®, was used to help achieve innovation in design education LEED credit.

“building owner, Dubuque Initiatives has chosen to use a dash through the avenue of education to help citizens and visitors to Dubuque to become more familiar with LEED,” said Bill Callahan, president of the Dubuque Initiatives. “We also wanted to have knowledge of events that take place in Dubuque, and has collaborated with the Chamber to help bring light all that Dubuque has to offer.”

QA chart created an energy efficiency education Dashboard (EEED) asked to serve as an educational tool to show the durability characteristics Roshek with the occupants and the community. Through education, occupants and visitors can understand how they too can be more lasting and effective impact on the building. The EEED is an interactive solution, similar to a website. Displayed on a 32-inch touch screen in the hall, it provides information explaining what LEED is, and what the characteristics of sustainability are in place to meet LEED green building. Details rehabilitation are shared, explaining what features have been restored, such as handrails and hardwood floors, and the materials were recycled or reused. Also described other sustainable features throughout the building, including a high-efficiency mechanical, reflective roof, water saving devices, and awnings to reduce solar heat gain.

“Providing a public presentation of this kind allows us to share what makes a building sustainable, and it is all motivated to change their actions toward sustainability,” said Jeff Rusch Properties Gronen, building facilities manager Roshek .

Energy efficiency

Education dashboard is complemented by signage inside the building while the construction of visits to follow to encourage people to adopt sustainable practices. The dashboard is also a comprehensive display of the building, providing a live weather forecast, history of the building and a business directory. It also connects to visitors from other important community resources such as information about the city of Dubuque, Dubuque Area Chamber of the Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau Dubuque.

“We are pleased to have been a part of the rehabilitation project Roshek, helping to ensure that education is available for occupants Roshek and residents and visitors to the Dubuque community,” said Dan McCarty President of QA Graphics. “By demonstrating the durability characteristics of the building, viewers will be motivated to pursue sustainable initiatives in their own lives.”

Dubuque welcomes the public to visit the building Roshek and become familiar again with the services he has to offer, and technology education that encompasses the building now. Energy contracts VG BioProcess algae to verify “lipid trigger” Results for the production of biofuels trade

San Marino, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2011

VG Energy, a subsidiary of Viral Genetics, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: VRAL), announced today that it has withheld from Other energy producer BioProcess algae, LLC to verify the results of large-scale laboratory for the development of commercial production of its process of biofuel potential. VG Energy has developed a proprietary technology, with results reproduced several times in test tube studies of the small pond, which appears promising in the production of biofuels from algae on a commercial scale at competitive prices with or better than current oil prices.

VG energy technology has shown promise as an additive for viable and profitable alternative energy sources, “said Haig Keledjian, CEO of VG Energy and viral genetic . “We are delighted to work with BioProcess algae to take the next step and move from the laboratory to put into production viable.”

The agreement came together quickly and was facilitated by VG energy SVP Monica Ord. “I Richard Branson of Virgin and Mike Willis Green to thank for the introduction of Green Plains Renewable Energy (GPRE) and BioProcess algae,” said Ord. “We reiterated our statement of research studies leading to several occasions, both internally and by the Texas A & M, which have clearly demonstrated the efficacy of the compound on a small scale. Bioprocess algae gives us the ability to move quickly in the middle of autotrophic, mixotrophic and heterotrophic scale studies, and we are anxious to begin. “

process more lipid production in algae cells and dramatically improving their recyclability rate

Was discovered by VG Energy and its principal investigator, Dr. M. Karen Newell Rogers, Raleigh R. White, Jr. Endowed Professor of Surgery Research at Texas A & M Health Science Center and Scott and White Hospital Temple, Texas. A recent report of biofuels expert John Sheehan several models present production techniques, with improved productivity through the process of LV energy, with results showing the potential of a profitable energy source. A direct result of work undertaken by Dr. Newell Rogers for the treatment of cancer, metabolic disturbance process technology (MDT), appears to act as a trigger lipid long sought to cause the algae cells to store increased fat This makes them more productive as an energy source. When the process was applied to the algae cells in the laboratory, extractable lipids, or fat production increased by a minimum of 300%. In addition, the process allows fat cells to release outside the cell walls, making the most recyclable and algae increases its viability as an alternative energy source.
